Radiant colorful Summer Jewels to Wear Now and Into Fall

There is nothing like a watermelon tourmaline, magical moonstone, boulder opal or tsavorite in juicy oversized irregular, exclusive and/or perfectly cut stones to keep you looking cool and radiant in the summer and well into fall.  In the height of the August heat, vivid gemstones glistened in the sun and offer a vibrant glow to your complexion. Additionally, they add a warm shimmer when the leaves start to change.

Recently at one of the jewelry shows, JA New York, which is held at the Javits Center twice yearly for retailers and press, color was among the most predominant trends as it has been for the past two to three years. The difference now is that there are more exclusive and unique cus and more and more colors from different families of gemstones are turning up.

Some of the most creative cuts and vivacious hues were shown in The New Design Gallery (NDG) which showcases 10 emerging designers during each show. There is also a section called Design District, which also features up & coming talents as well as those who are independent and who continue to evolve and grow more and more distinctive and confident in their sensibilities each time I see their new collections.

I particularly loved the unusual cuts and the new versions of cocktail rings and well the gems with natural inclusions that render them all the more interesting with personality and character to burn.
