Add These Looks To Your Jewelry Wardrobe

I have an amazing job. Anyone with a serious jewelry jones will understand. I get to scout out modern jewelry trade shows, previews, designer’s studios, workshops and showrooms. I also am privy to antique dealer’s hidden treasures and I am able to see all the fresh pieces  as soon as they hit the dealer’s booths at the antique and vintage shows and fairs.

This is why, at least once a month, I can give you the scoop on the trends and the items I’ve uncovered. I particularly get pumped finding jewelry from up & coming designers or independents who continue to get better and better as they grow and evolve.

Here are my picks for the trends and items that you might want to add to your jewelry wardrobe this spring/summer.

Word Play

The meaning is in the message and the message is usually simple and pertains to love, luck, spirituality and/or these days, politics. We saw the same trend on the spring/summer into fall/winter 2017 ready-to-wear runways as we are seeing in jewelry.

STONED LOVE

Colored gemstones continue to rock on as we head into summer. We especial love the variations in color in tourmalines and the stones that come out of the ground with naturally formed patterns. Colored sapphires in pretty pastels are also still a big draw in cuffs that can be piled on.

Floral Arrangements

Florals continue to bloom in all varieties of botanicals from exotics to garden varieties and in all classifications of jewelry.
