The Gift Guide– The first of our 12 Gifts For The Holidays

This season we are lucky enough to unveil  two different types of Holiday gift guides. The first is a series of  jewelry ideas  for our readers as chosen by 12 expert modern designer retailers, antique dealers and shops. For each installment, we have asked for suggestions from their brick and mortar or online stores. We have also asked what gift they would choose for themselves this holiday season.  Joanne Teichman of Ylang 23 kicks off  series and  reveals the first gem of  ideas.

Joanne Teichman has given out gift ideas since the 1980s when she was one of the first visionary retailers launching independent designers onto the fine jewelry scene. Throughout  the years, she has not wavered from featuring  the most innovative and distinctive talents both in her Dallas-based shop and online. And throughout the years she has given her fair share of gift advice for all holidays and occasions through her unparalleled customer service, designer trunk shows and appearances, her wish lists, her availability and true love of jewelry.

Joanne lets us in on what she is feeling for this season:

“It wouldn’t be an Ylang 23 holiday without diamonds, and top of my gift recommendations are these sparklers which not only leap out of our festive gift wrap, but are sure to be the most favorite jewelry gift received!  I selected  two pair of earrings due to the myriad and diverse range of styles from which to choose this season. And of course a ring–you can never have enough.”

“The Raphaele Canot Set Free Mini-Hoops are amazing, small and delicate they  pop  when worn!”

Raphael Canot

“I also love the Retrouvai diamond wrapped studs for any time or any occasion  – they are so chic!!”
