Directions we are seeing on the spring 2018 runways and in jewelry designers studios

During the New York and London spring 2018 ready-to-wear shows more jewelry trends came into focus. We have yet to see what Mian and Paris will unveil, but judging from what accessorized the looks on the runways so far, the directions are crossing the Atlantic. Our prediction– the trends below will also make an appearance in all the fashion capitals.

Earrings appeared in various on numerous styles, just as they did at the recent 69th Prime Time Emmy Awards red carpet arrivals and they continue to dominate the jewelry scene.

As we have talked about in past articles, many of the jewels designed for the runway are often over the top and exaggerated to hit the overall fashion message home, but the directions we are seeing are definitely translating or have already translated into fine jewelry.

We continue to bring you these trends as they unfold:

Single earrings

Antiques inspired earrings

Three-dimensional fantastical earrings

Hoops and Circles

Not Your Grandmother’s Pearl Earrings

Ear cuffs

Heavy Metal which will translate into bracelets as well

Moratorium Heavy Metal Bracelets

The single large round ring in pearls or unexpected materials

Long necklaces and or Lariats or Lasso style necklaces
